This petition was made by Sen. Ted Kennedy. His view are that this war is Bush's vietnam, I was wondering after watching the president's National Address last night how you felt about the direction of the war, and if you feel it is going to work. I will provide the link to the petition if you decide to add your name. This is his website and you can read his statement about his views and why he is doing this. http://www.tedkennedy.com/ourdecision

In my opinion Bush is wrong, at first I was very into the war, but I started seeing that the US was looking for Osama but was more focused on Saddam, yeah Saddam was captured and he was an evil man, but those slayings happend about 15 years ago, we could have done something about it way back then, I guess Bush took advantage of that and mislead the US into thinking, okay we're winning, there are good and bad things happening over there, but alot of bad occurs everyday, thousands of lives are threatend and more will be unless we try and do something, what our main objective should have been was to find Osama and other terrorists, Saddam wasn't found to have wmd, he wasn't who we should have been looking for, Bush made us look that way while he ran and hid for the truth that we were loosing, at least he admitted it now, but it took how long for him to do this?

Yes! I already signed the petition, they need to bring the troops home, nothing will ever change over there anyway, they have been at some type of war for a couple of hundred years now, no more troops should die, the numbers of troops killed is getting quite large, my cousin was the very first one killed over there and I have had enough. I have often compared it to Vietnam myself! Bring them home!

I think that Sen. Ted Kennedy has a few good points (I saw his speech briefly while I was at the break room at work). I believe that the President should answer to the checks that congress is entitled to. There shall be no more 'rubber stamping' in congress now that the Democrats have a majority there. I think that the solution isn't to send more troops; the solution is to fight smart and know when to leave.

As soon as you said it was by Ted Kennedy, the answer was no, I won't sign.

I am against Bush's plan in Iraq, but I wouldn't sign anything Kennedy had a hand in.

Well, the short answer to your question is "no".

The more detailed answer would be "hell no."

You choose.
