Blind snakes, Thread snakes, and Worm snakes are all common names used for the genus Leptotyphlops.

The smallest snake in that genus is the Leptotyphlops bilineatus or Lesser Antillean Threadsnake. Here's a link to a pic: http://thelongestlistofthelongeststuffatthelongestdomainnameatlonglast.com/smallest35.html

As stated above the smallest snakes in the world are the Blind snakes, Thread snakes, and worm snakes. Im sure there is someone out there that keep blind snakes or worm snakes but they arnt breed or sold in captivity much. If you want a really small snake that is in the pet trade and breed in captivity then u might wanna look into the childrens python or the anthills python. Both of those snakes stay relatively small and make good pets.

I hope this helps.... if you have any other questions feel free to e-mail me at socalherpers@yahoo.com
