Sometimes I get the feeling people give advice as if to make up for what they didn't do themselves, the memories they wish they wish they could go back to...
Other times, it feels like people give advice just to share their own experiences in order to truly help the individual in question.

So no, I don't think advice is recycling nostalgia for more than it's worth because most advice is usually priceless. It's just that sometimes we don't want to listen. I know that I often want to make my own mistakes and learn from them myself. But it's certainly nice to hear the thoughts of others. It's enlightening.

I never heard of that and it is a worthy comment that deserves thought. I like the way your mind sorts it all out!! Why didn't I think of that? Guess I was calling it experience and forgetting life evolves and change is the only constant. Thanks!!
Good Luck!! @8=)

There is nothing wrong with recycling advice if it's good and is known to be effective.

It usually seems to be when the advice is offered without being asked.

I don't think so. I think advice is simply one person offering their life experience to help another, that's all :)

I've never thought of it that way, but in some cases, YES! In some cases, it is very valuable.
