I'd suggest going to youtube.com. They have a lot of magic tricks on video, so you can see right away what the trick looks like. Try key words "card tricks" to limit the search to card tricks.

Personally, most are way to complicated, but yet simple to explain. No typing could give enough detail on what you need to do for good tricks. I have found some really good stuff, but at the expense of spending money and keeping secrets to myself, you can find websites to tell you stuff. If you want TV type tricks you will need to spend money.

u stand near a big pane of glass. the spectator is looking away from the glass and your assistant is on the other side of the glass.make sure ur assistant can see wat card the spectator is geting anyway he gets his card the assistant sees the card and sticks the same card to the wind you say affew times is this ur card and then in frustration u throw the deck against the window
the spectator is surprised that the card is stuck to the other side of the window
