It had a red flower when i got it. why are leaves turning brown. it sits on floor in my living rm in a plastic pot. indirect light.

You are either giving it too much water, or not enough water.

calla lilly is what you would call a bulb or a tuber this is the winter and the growing time is over you need to take it out of the dirt and put it in a cool dark place like a basement or a closet for about 12-16 weeks and then put it back in the dirt and start watering it again it needs time to sleep just like a iris or a tulip or a perrennial.Good luck!I put mine in a bucket of peat moss so no moisture can get on it.

It's a bulb, and it's supposed to go dormant in the winter time.

Considering the time of year, the whole thing should have already had its leaves fall off.

It will probably be more healthy if you put it outside, and let it feel the natural cooling effects of winter (such as these may be in Florida!).

It should bloom again come springtime.
