It would depend largely on his tone and delivery. It may have been a compliment (though not the best form of compliment there is). If I was happy with my GYN up until that point, I would go and talk to the GYN again and discuss the issue. If you're not comfortable discussing this with him, you probably need to find someone you do feel comfortable talking to.
If there was any chance that I felt that the GYN was going to treat me poorly or not be a good doctor because of the statement, I would certainly find a new Dr.
My GYN has one of those quirky sense of humors that results in most people not getting the joke. So if mine had told me that, I'd know he was attempting a joke. Of course, the day I stopped feeling comfortable talking openly and honestly with him, would be the day I find a new Dr. After all, if I can't talk about my "femine problems" with him, then he's not much use to me.

Get a female gyn. I've always felt more comfortable w/female doctors when one is looking at that part of me anyway. I've only dealt w/one male doctor during an ultrasound...even then there was a female in the room w/him at the time.

I would get a new GYNOB doctor, always research doctors before you go, Talk to people find out who they recommend. Look up doctor on net if possible see what all association involved with the more the better cause they are the ones that do not want to mess up. Good Luck.....

DEFINETLY find another doctor. That is not something a doctor should say to a patient. ESPECIALLY a GYN.

laugh it off, ignore the comment. if you were uncomfortable to the point you dont want to return, then speak with the office manager about the incident and change doctors.
