When he can maintain a steady job or commitment. He has goals set out for future longterm endeavors and actively progresses toward that goal. He no longer washes laundry or lives w/Mom & Dad. He looks for quality relationships out of his encounters w/friends and a potential mate. something like that...why did you ask this question?

There is no rule on what makes a man mature and it has little to do with age, although the older you are, usually the more experience one has. Life experience matures people - men and women.

I can tell you that from what I have observed, many a man matures after falling in love for the first time and having his heart broken; they are less likely to toy with another person. Some mature faster because they have good male and female role models. Some never mature. These rules apply to women.

If you are talking about being ridiculously goofy and fun...then I am far from mature and I would hate to be around someone that is so mature that they forget how to laugh.

Define "mature". If you're asking when a man will start acting and thinking like a woman, then you are going to be disappointed because we are not women. Well, most of us anyway.

Society has invented this weird notion that a woman's behavior is "normal" and a man's behavior is not. That's why women complain when a man leaves the toilet seat up, but men never complain that it's left down. However, men and women are different, and behave and think differently, because that's the way God made us. To say that men are "inmature" because they don't follow the same protocol as women is silly.

The true test of a man's maturity is when he can feel what someone else feels. This ability then guides him to make proper decisions in life.
Teenagers don't have this ability, and that's why they can committ some of the cruel and senseless acts they do.
Some men never mature, and others do at various ages.

It depends from person to person. Generally, a man matures when he starts earning and stands on his own legs. Till then, he is dependant on either his parents or relatives or whatever the case might be. But from the day he starts earning, he realises how tough it is to earn even a penny by fair means. This realization makes him mature. He realizes how difficult it might have been for the person on whom he was dependant on till then. This is my view.

When they realize that he is no longer a boy or kid. It is not defined by a certain age. It is a psychological status. Rewind 50 or 60 years and boys became men whenever their father died. Today, you may find boys living in dorm rooms or even in military barracks.
