The screen says, ok to disconnect, and its on disc mode. I haven't did any updates on it. I tried to turn it off and on, but nothing any suggestions?

What generation ipod do you have? I had one of the older ones and it did that as well. Did you try to reset it? If not, go to the apple support page and they'll tell you to try a few things and if it still doesn't work, then you can send it in to be fixed. And it could be free depending on when your warranty expires.

disconnect ipod from computer and reset it by holding the menu and select button(select is the cenrer button) but if u have the ipod shuffle the 2nd generation then u need turn it off for 30 secs then turn it on then it should work

Try to re update your ipod but this will delete all the songs and it is also the best thing you can do in a sitution like that.

My daughter had that happen to her on the ipod video she went to goggle and they told her what to do

ok, i had this problem to i had to just wait until the batery died and then charged it again. if that dosnt work just take it back.

try moving it to a warmer environment
