no. they took the name from an electronic product (ac=alternating current, dc=direct current) catalog, and registered it before they knew about the other connotation (i.e. ac/dc=bisexual). by the time they found out what people thought, it was too late, already had contracts & albums with that band name. figured that the controversy made for free publicity - and any publicity is good publicity when your are striking out as a new unknown band...

Don't be absurd. I think all of them are married (to women). And no one uses that designation (ac/dc) to mean bisexual anymore.
