Someone I know confided in me that she tried to get food from the food bank but they turned her down. She has 3 kids and is having a hard time. How do I help her without offending her?

You can get her supermarket gift cards and give them to her. (Or you can put them in her mailbox without her knowing.) Assure her that this is what friends do--it is not abnormal so she doesn't feel ashamed. Try to look online at where she can get further help or public assistance. Sometimes churches help out in cases like this.

Buy her some groceries take them round to her place, just tell her your doing this in case one day you need help and hope that she would return the favour.Explain to her you want to help her, i'm sure she'll be grateful.
