My brother in law parked this car 3 years ago running, and now it won't start. Does nothing but whine when you turn it over. We have replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires, fuel injectors...basically put over 300 bucks in this thing, any ideas?

ok i phrased that a little wrong, we do have spark, compression and it will turn over but it won't start, it whirs, and sometimes pops and smokes, so its getting fuel to the motor.

we think there could possibly be bad valves or stuck from sitting for so long? injectors are new so are coils and knock sensor.

Replace the battery. If it still won`t start,it could be light rust on cylinder walls.Take plugs out ,squirt WD-40 in cylinders.Later come back and turn over W/plugs still out.Once this has been accomplished, put plugs in and start your engine.Make sure you have fresh gas in the tank.

You have waste money on parts......
there was no need for new parts.

buy a battery charger.
charge the battery( to have good cranking RPM)
replace the gas in the tank
buy starting fluid spray
prosed to start ,try and rest period (to avoid starter overheat)

there will be lot of attend,be patient it will start.

It sounds like the starter is not engaging the flywheel to turn the engine over.
See if you see the belts turning on the engine when you try to start it.

The starter solenoid is bad. Its located directly on top of the starter. You must remove the starter to replace the new part. Its extremely easy to fix. The solenoid isn't expensive either. If anyone within earshot of is mechanically inclined have him or her go for it.
