As the French Vichy Government was to the German occupiers. differnce there was the insurgents there we called the 'French Resistance'. BTW How the hell have we won the war?, there has been NO surrender as far as I have heard. Dont forget, France fell within a month but their insurgents fought a long long time after that.

If you think the Iraqi people voted for a puppet government, I would say yes.
Since we did not install the government with no vote from the Iraqi people, I would say no.
This is the argument I give to people who say the Iraqis don't support our efforts over there and they don't agree with what we're doing: If they boycotted the elections, I would agree. But since they overwhelmingly decided to vote, I think they all agree and welcome this Democracy.

I understand that you want to see Iraqi government as puppet in hands of Russians. Sorry, you are to late. Every day, every year, every decade of living under Russian control is lost forever for any country and nation, wherever Russian boots have stepped.

No. Nor, unfortunately, does it seem to be supported by the majority of Iraqis.
So maybe we should just stop trying to enforce an engineered cap on an unsustainable preexisting social imbalance and get out of the way. At some point, it is THEIR government, and THEIR country.

What Iraqi government?
We aren't even sure if there is such a country as Iraq and not three separate countries waiting for the US to leave to declare themselves.

Not in the least, we are obviously having trouble getting them to ally with us, and take a stand for themselves. If they were a puppet we would be finished over there already.

Basically, They can-not stand on their own with-out our pressence or support. They can-not even hold onto cities
we have taken control of, them moved on.
