...Arab Christians (around 35,000,000 People) face more and more oppression when US and Allies continue to target Arab muslim countries. I'm not saying that there aren't a terrorist threat over there...but i'm saying that Arab Christians usually support US policies while opposing their own goverments at home, and hope that the US will back them, and they never do because of the Israel (Zionist) deal. Do you think this issue should more important to the US Admin?

I'm an American and feel that most Americans are so stupid, they don't know the difference between Arab and Muslim. They think everyone living in the middle east are one big happy, Arab/Muslim terrorist family thanks to main stream media and school system that dumbs things down to the point of being ridiculous. It's sad but true. Heck, some Americans still think Sadam was involved with 9-11. How do you combat such ignorance??

It's not true that Arab Christians usually support the US while opposing their own governments. I know some of them and many are just as opposed to recent US foreign policy as your average Palestinian.

Do you think that the Christian neighborhoods in Lebanon that had rockets coming out of them that were headed for Israel are on the side of G. W. Bush? I don't think so.

This post is misinformation at the worst and vastly oversimplified information at the best. This "American" idea that the Christians of the world see things our way is a good example of the average under-informed, non-curious U.S. citizen and a good part of why we're in the trouble we're in.

The argument could be made that we're trying to HELP the Arab Christians. Aren't most of them oppressed pretty badly? I personally can't see waltzing around Iran with a cross around my neck, let alone carrying a Bible.

As to supporting Arabs against Israel, it's not going to happen. I have not seen any Jewish protests where they're all screaming, "Death to Iran". Nor have I heard any plans from Israel to commit genocide. Israel's Arab neighbors do these things all the time - we can't not back Israel, or we would be compliant in their elimination.

It has NOTHING to do with Israel. Why can people not understand that bad things can happen without it being Israel's fault? I agree that Christian Arabs are persecuted by Muslims. That seems to be a common thread wherever Muslims are in the majority.

Why should the Christians take priority? People are people and they all deserve to live regardless of religious beliefs of political beliefs. What makes it ok to kill Muslims and not Christians? Because you believe that your god is the right god and you have to protect your people? How is that different from a "holy war" ? Is this starting to sound a little hypocritical to you yet?

It should definitely be more important. The problem is that the US Administration doesn't understand that there is a difference between being an Arab and being Muslim.

you miss the point....about the USA'
The USA was founded to prevent religious oppression..thus
The USA believes that one"s choice of religion IS an inherant right of ALL humanity
-A specific religion was "separated" from the US "government because it CREATES a divided population.!! AS a result the USA has embraced diversity (in many areas as well as religion) YET governed under ONE RULE of LAW..
The success of the USA may be a result of the fact that whatever religious beliefs/customs you ascribe to is irrelevent to your status as a citizen. In the US, the CRIMINAL ACT is the basis for prosecution and punnishment. One population ALL governed under the same set of rules (law) that will apply to ALL -regardless of their social, fiscal or religious status.
MANY WORLD Governments actively embraces/favors one religious segment. The result is a "ruling class" AND a population with the oppressed segments. Those oppressed segments are ALWAYS vying for power-spurred by THEIR desire to take vengance against the unjust, affront to "God" heathens that currently rule.
As you know, The "ruling power" uses its religious beliefs to sanction its "government" and its "policies".
Those segments of the population unwilling to embrace the favored religious belief are provided minimal sustanance and oppressed by various government "rulings" or interventions(ethnic cleansing, conscription, forced labor for food etc).ALL government's requires the
'services" of their citizens BUTin these governments these "necessary others"(i.e. the heathens/second class citizens ) are substandard usable commodities. AS unbelievers they are an affront to their god. Thus these "others" can be used, killed, imprisoned, coerced into submission. Complainers,or dissidents can and are easily handled as THEIR LAW (based on specific religious beliefs,) justifies punnishment or eradication.
WHY IS IT SUCH A SURPRISE that zillions of people living in other countries (regardless of their religion) would yearn for and support USA policies ??? The USA 's founders (most but not all) subscribed to a belief in a higher power (god) that belived in justice for all and punnishment for crimes against others.
The USA is a powerfulland successfull country that has managed to accept differences, allow protests /political disagreement and yet always strive to provide justice for everyone..(i.e..theft by a president, politician, mayor, wealthy mongel, shopkeeper or homeless pauper is theft..Status or religious affiliation has no bearing as the INDIVIDUAL chose to commit the crime...
Arab muslim countries or any other country that chooses to govern in by creating a religious justification to oppress some of its citizens IS to the USA a country that uses and abuses its people. The USA hates to see others killed, abused or oppressed simply because the "leaders" want to retain or gain power. The oppresssed of these countries like any other human want a country with a government that nutures ALL its population as citizens. IN the US, we have learned that the neighbor next door may have different beliefs(religious, political, social..), BUT DIFFERENT is not always Dangerous !
The government will not remove them because they offend you. The government will prosecute them if they commit a crime!
The US understands that humans do not always agree, are capable of tolerance and thrive when each person is allowed to pursue their goals and desires within the constraints of Laws that do not vary based on religion or status.
TO ANSWER your QUESTION
The US administration is NOT interested in demanding that other countries use our form of government. Abuse of humans anywhere is abhorrent. It is not the USA's job or desire to go IMPOSE our form of government or belief humanity thrives when populations are not subjected to arbitrary oppression by governments that bleed out parts of their population simply to sustain their belief that they (their segment) are superior or doing Gods work... Greed/Power/Lust are unfortunately the operative manual for far too many countries "leaders". Unfortunately, many suffer.
The USA while not perfect does seek to encourage leaders/countries to provide equity and thus limit the chaos that results fron dissidents, fanatics and terrorists .The USA also seeks to limit the rise or the power of fanatical leaders/countries bent on imposing their "rule/religious beliefs"on others (either to expand their power/gain/seize resources that dont belong to them or because they have "received gods message" . These leaders/countries are a danger to the USA and all others that live on this planet.
Humans regardless of their nationality share the same hardwired need to preserve and survive and when threated/provoked or pushed are visciously efficient if the need is to permanently remove the threat..
