Is it common there? And if so, could the cause of it be because of the significant anti-Israel bias that is more common in the UK than in the US?

The generations of constantly persecuted Jews who have had a head start in teaching all of us the best ways to adapt and get along together, don't seem to be a modern problem in Britain from what I've seen. It's been said infrequently they control parts of the media, blah blah, but that's it.

Perhaps our morons are a little smarter than those in the US?
Perhaps we are not as afraid of Socialism?

Actually I might try asking that question! Which country has the biggest morons? Come to think of it I know the answer already.

Anti Israel? I was under the impression the British gave Israel to the Jews? Are you suggesting underhanded reasons for that? Either I'm missing something or you're angry about something and looking for a fight!

Perhaps a trip to Britain is in order. I don't think you quite understand what an exceptional country Britain is. Or perhaps you're just an average everyday American...if you are I'm sorry I've wasted my time and tried to be helpful.

Jewish culture is very much part of British culture. The original cockneys were of Jewish extraction. Antisemitism is less common than racism. Most of us have a great deal of affection for Jews and Judaeism.

There is strong antizionist feeling in the UK. The State of Israel is an American colony that violates international law. Bearing in mind that Palestinians are also semites, zionists are the worst antisemites since Hitler. Saying that opposition to the State of Israel is antisemitism is a misuse of language and a political lie.

No it is not common but it does exist, usually amongst the far right organisations such as the National Front and The British national Party. There are occasional desecrations of jewish cemetaries but little in the way of actual physical abuse. There is not a significant anti-Israeli bias in the UK although certain sections of the press are not what you would call pro-Israel but this is balanced by others that are.

No, I don't thinks its common here, although you can go to any country in the world & find an idiot prepared to believe in anything.

Also many here would say that the UK does not have an anti-Israel bias, so much as a lack of a pro-Israeli bias.

Anti-Semitism exists everywhere, but I wouldn't say it's especially common in the UK. As for an 'anti-Israeli bias', I think it's more that Brits are less inclined than Americans to believe that the Jews are automatically the good guys in the Jewish-Palestinian conflict, and more ready to consider the Palestinian point of view.

fascist groups in the uk BNP/COMBAT 18/NF. mostly concern themselves with anti-muslim asian and anti-black and anti-gay "topics",i live in london and hardly hear of any anti- semitic attacks, rarely u may hear or read of a attack on a jewish cemetary and stones are broken or defaced, but it never makes frontpage news,i think local police investigate, and it slowly dissapears from the public arena through lack of media/public interest.ps old know all states strong anti-zionist feelings in uk,this is mainly only amongst asians(muslims) theres not a very significant amount of(anti-semitism)ideology that exists in other parts of society, not to my knowledge anyway. its more focused toward gov(uk) and their war policies in iraq, rather than against israelis/british jewish communities

To be critical of Israel and its policies does not make someone anti-semitic. I think Israel is one of the worst things to have happened to the planet, but this does not interfere with my opinion of Jewish people as a whole. Finally, there Jewish people out there who are critical of Israel, does that make them Anti-semitic against themselves?

In my experience it is not common at all. I have never come up against antisemitism and personally I have no views on anyone's race, creed etc. I like them for who they are and the way they treat me and their family.
