Is being late one indication of The Change. I'm talking 5 days and I am NOT including pregnancy in this question.

It seems to me I've read that information somewhere and yes, it can be an indicator.

I find personal experience more informative.

It depends on your age. I went through full menopause at 43.

Menopause does not occur overnight, but rather is a gradual process of transition. This transition period (known as perimenopause) is different for each woman. Scientists are still trying to identify all the factors that initiate and influence this transition. Women in perimenopause transition typically experience abnormal vaginal bleeding such as erratic periods or abnormal bleeding patterns. Eventually a woman's periods will completely stop as she completes this transition into menopause.

The average age of onset of menopause process is 51 years old. But there is no single method to predict when a woman will enter menopause. The age at which a woman starts having menstrual periods is also not related to the age of menopause onset. As a rough "rule of thumb" women tend to undergo menopause at an age similar to that of their mothers.

If you have concerns, definitely make an appointment for a consultation with a Gynecologist.

Hi, this is very personal and I wish I had known this information before I began the menopause phase.

Menopause, also referred to as the "change of life," is the point at which a woman stops ovulating and menstruation ceases, indicating the end of fertility.

You may experience night sweats, vaginal dryness and hot flashes which occur in many, but not all, women undergoing menopause.

The hot flashes vary in severity, from a sudden sensation of warmth to acute drenching sweats and bright red flushing.
Duration ranges from a few months, to a few years or not at all.

Menstruation becomes irregular and finally stops. These are only the symptoms, however there are natural methods to control these. Like I said, I finally found them but I suffered first.
