I do on occasion. I look at some people's avatars and notice how much they're like everyone else's (down to the accessories) and think why would I want to hear their opinion when they're trying so hard to be just like everyone else?
Yours is nice, but there's nothing to make it really stand out.

i think that some people do judge you by your avatar,but the avatar is not always like you,i like yours~

i think u look like a decent girl/woman (idk how old u are). i dont judge ppl by there avatar, but i'll bet ppl judge by their sn name.

i suppose they do a bit, yours is great, I think though that a lot of them look the same anyway so it don't really matter
