One of my co-workers was just going off about how he hates cheese. Everybody was looking at him funny, like maybe he's an insurgent terrorist posing as a fat, bald white guy with sweaty pits and an ugly tie.

I can't get either one of my daughter's to eat cheese; I don't particularly care for it either; most of the time we don't keep cheese in the house; once a package is gone we don't rush out and buy another; it could be a month or more before there's anymore in the refrigerator; you can absolutely be an American and not like cheese; it's not that great for you anyway; there are alternatives to getting the same vitamins that you get from cheese; sorry

Maybe cheese does not agree with him, I love cheese and don't understand why someone would go off about something as simple as not liking cheese, does he have sweaty pits?? Ew!! I feel bad for you if you have to smell that. :)

This is one of those incidents that tests or ability as a nation to accept all peoples' beliefs, whether we agree with hi or not. 'Accepting' doesn't mean 'agreeing with', though, and as much as I hate people who don't like cheese, it's his right to do so. Besides, that's more for the rest of us, right?
