I have recently finished my job and I am waiting to have my start date confirmed for my new job. It will be sometime at the end of the month but I need money and therefore a job in the meantime. I have tried agencies but they all say they need at least a fortnight to get references / checks made. Any ideas? - apart from night shifts on street corners!

You can earn some extra money using your computer and I have found these websites that actually work. They are all free to join and you don’t have to pay to get the information that you need, and after you get yours up and going you can refer other people and they pay you for your referrals. They all pay you to answer surveys.

I use Treasure Troopers at http://www.treasuretrooper.com/212628

You can also join Inboxdollars. http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=rere2423

Swat Cash http://www.swatcash.com/2498

Also send earnings http://www.sendearnings.com/?r=rere2423

CashCrate. Just visit this website and join it is free and easy. http://www.*************/index.php?ref=152757

If you have any questions just email me. I also other places that I can give you.

Are you in the UK? If so, there are many secretarial agencies that would be able to help you, assuming you can type and have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Just call up and make an appointment (or some will even tell you to just drop in), you sit down and fill in some forms, they will then interview you, and then you take the typing and software tests. They will usually call up your referees whilst you are taking the tests and they will then send you out to work the very next day. Try Brook Street, Kelly Services and Adecco - you will not get as good pay with these three as with some other agencies, but they are more likely to be able to find you work quickly and will be more happy to take you on for only a short period of time.

If you don't have typing and software skills, they may still be able to find you jobs on reception or doing data entry.

I actually worked as a temp for a period of 14 months without any days out of work, except for the two weeks that I wanted to take off as vacation.

Seriously; have you tried to sign on? I always figure that as long as you are totally honest you will only get what you are entitled to.
Alternatively, try for a bar job.
