Periodically check at a website called "Ben's Bargains", which often lists places where good deals can be found for many items, including monitors. When you see one you're interested in, just click on the link on the upper right of the item that says "Click Here" and it will take you to the vendor's page for that item. Try your local Wal-Mart or Target stores, they usually sell a few decent low-end flat screens for around 150-200 dollars.
