My husband and I are trying to have a baby, its been about 6 months of counting fertile days and ovulations calendars. No success yet, . How long is too long to try before i should worry? I already have a 6 year old and we are young and healthy.

Using a Basal Body Thermometer and keeping track of your cervical mucus will definately help. My best friend and I both got pregnant the first month by doing this. You can chart at www.fertilityfriend.com and they analyze your chart for you. It's great!!! I'd definately give it a try. Also read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Great book!

Stop counting and just let it happen! Anxiety can play a big part in why your not conceiving. If you both know for sure that there isn't any medical reason for this not to occur naturally, then just give it more time. Or do what I did to have my son, Do it everyday! Do it more than once a day if you can.Your husband will love it! Making a baby should be fun not scheduled! Good Luck! And God Bless!

I heard on the news just today that someone isn't considered "infertile" until they have been actively trying for over a year.

Try to relax and not put so much pressure on yoursleves. Enjoy trying to concieve and let nature take it's course. Once a year is up, then I would look into fertility options.

Best of luck!

Approximately 60% of couples who are actively trying to conceive (having intercourse two to three times a week) will conceive within the first 6 months of trying, 75% within 9 months, 80% within a year, and 90% within 18 months.

SO if you havent concieved within 18 months, then you should go and talk to your Dr.

Good Luck

Go to the doc. Possibly your tubes are blocked.

It depends on your deadline for having kids.

I am 40, just had a baby a year ago, and want to start trying again. I am seeing a doc today to discuss a strategy.

Give yourself at least a year and if still no success, then go to doc and discuss.
