All you need to use on your genitals are soap and water. Certain underarm deodorants may be painful in your groin and on your scrotum. The skin there is much more sensitive. You may evan have enlargement of lymph glands with certain strong deodorants that use a lot of aluminum (I am trying to remember this) oxide. I think that is the chemical that causes some people to have a lymphatic reaction.

There are sweat glands down there. It is not recommended to do so, but if you must, i wouldn't use anything with a fragrance. The skin is thinner and can aggrivate you more than normal underarm deoderizor. I wouldn't use axe or anything, but you can get deoderant bodywashes and what not.

Use a body spray like AXE down there. Use anti-persperant / deordorant under your arms.
