My mom is really sick, she will be having surgery in February. She has had this type of surgery before but this time it is very critical. She will be having surgery in her stomach, its to remove tumors.
The main tumor is stuck (like glue) to a blood vessel right near her anal area. The dr said that trying to remove the tumor might cause a cut in her blood vessel and than internal bleeding.... and they won't be able to save her.
Well he didn't say she will die but he said that if that happens then she will..
If she doesn't have the operation, the tumors can lead to cancer. She also has 3 cysts on her breast, is there a connection? Also, she has been getting bruises on her body for no apparant reason. Like on her arms, her chest, her neck...
I am so scared.. I am 22 and I have a 3 yr old daughter.. my bro is 18 and sis is only 12....
Please no nasty coments... I just want to know u'r opinion

This is my mom's 9th surgery for the same problem. At first she had a uterus infection and it went on from that. She never talks about her problems because she doesn't want to upset us but....
I pray for her and so does our family.. but sometimes I think that it would be better if she dies.. because she is suffering so much, is that wrong?
We are muslim...

Having cancer alone can cause the bruising. I don't know why but it does happen different types of luekemia & such. Once you have cancer/tumor in one part of the body, it makes the other parts more succeptable to having the same things happen. This what someone I know is going thru. Started in her female area & moved to her lungs & liver, and this was after it had been removed from her female area. Maybe your mom should consult another provider for a second opionion? If she has the suggested surgery then she could live longer. She & your family should weight the options & do what is best for yourselves.

hun the only thing you can really do is pray, pray that the surgery goes well. if she does not have the surgery she prob has the same chances of living...

I would pray and go to church and have a group prayer and put it in gods hands, can you imagine how your mother must feel. Everything will be fine, if you worry to much about it then you will get sick yourself... stomach ache , stress, anxious.. just pray sweetheart, i will be praying for you..

if ( god forbid) something were to happen then i would think someone other than the siblings would take on your sis of 12 and your brother. You may need to stay there to for awhile for support. You will have to come to terms with whatever happens.

Take a deep breath, pray and move on.. harder than it seems but what else are you going to do, worry yourself to death? believe it or not when you are stressed others can feel it and i don't think that is the best for everyone right now..

Stay strong for the youngsters and your mom.

i pray everything will be ok.

I am so sorry that you have to go through this...but you will have my prayers. I work as a mortician tech in a local hospital and I do see unpleasantness everyday. Please have positive thoughts at all times but also prepare yourself for anything not only for yourself but for your silbings and your child. Do not let your emotions build up inside and your mother is going through a tough time. The surgery is very critical so please be with your mother and go to the theaters, musems and just tell her that you love her every chance you get. Your mother is probably depressed right now knowing her condition, so bring her mood up and be her bestfriend!

I think the surgery would be best. And just pray with all your heart that the Lord would be with her- are you a christian? I know the Lord listens to the prayers of those who love Him, and I have great faith that he could make the surgery go smoothe. Do not lose hope!
