Paedo - Children
Phile - Lover
Hence you get the prefix "Paedo" with peadratition
which mean childrens doctor
so togather they are

Its someone who has a mental illness that causes them to be sexually attracted to children as young as babies. Not all peopkle who sexually abuse children are paedophiles, and not all paedophiles act on their urges.

Literally it means: "someone who likes children". But it is probably the most innapropriate name ever given, as people who genuinely like children, don't tend to rape them.
