I believe he's trying to stabilize the country and win the war, not the election.
If things play out as you forecast, then it's the Americans' choice.
I think a defeat in Iraq would be catastrophic and make us much less safe.
But if Americans have a death wish, they can make their will known.

Hardly. The American public has a short attention span so this public policy will be ancient history by the time the 2008 elections roll around. With regard to "the War on Terrorism" the only question that remains to be answered is what will the Demonrats do now that they control Congress. Where's their plan? Will the liberals cut and run like the French or will they stand and deliver?
Survey says "liberals lead a retreat from Iraq and Afghanistan." The Satanic Islamic terrorists will strike on American soil again following that spineless retreat.
What was done on 9/11 was hardly an act of advanced terrorism. What would have made it more real was to have hijacked those 3-4 planes two days prior and flown them right into the stadiums where the NFL was holding some of it's season opening games. The stadium with the least in attendance was well over 50,000 fans in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
That's discounting the players, staff and media.
Imagine fuel being dropped just before impact while well over 200,000 Americans some on fire, others clearly in panic mode, and nevermind the dead and maimed. Osama bin Laden ain't got nothing on this ex-special forces operative. All caught on local, regional and national television - the few lives that were lost on 9/11 pale in comparison to what's in store for America once the Demonrats surrender and retreat.
The good news is that most of the terrorist attacks will target major metropolitan areas. Blue territory. So the precise people the liberals say they are representing will become victims of terrorism.
I love it when a plan comes together!

Its a know fact that liberals will always say they are going to do what the mojority of people want but it is just a ploy to get them into office and further their own politics. Thats what politicians do. The BS the public in order to get elected, then they do whatever they want. Be it Republican, Democrat, Green Party etc. They are all politicians and they are all the same.
