sounds like adware again, IE loves that stuff, download adaware and scan your system.

It means you are infected with spyware. Search the net for that term and you'll find out a lot about it and ways to help remove it.

The problem with spyware is that once you're infected, it seems like it never goes away. You can run all the tools you want, but there are so many types of infections that seem to get past.

If it's an option, it would be best to format the hard drive (after you backup whatever you want to keep), then reinstall Windows fresh. Afterwards, be sure to use a program like Acronis TrueImage or Norton's Ghost to make frequent "images" (or backups) of your hard drive. That way if you get infected again, you can restore from a recent backup in just a few minutes.

Download a pop-up blocker onto the browser you use. Also set the browser you use to be your default browser by going into tools then options. If all that fails go into control panel, add remove programs, and uninstall internet explorer.

If it's a spyware or adware problem you have go to www.majorgeek.com and download some anti-virus, anit-spy and adware programs. Good ones are AntiVir and Spybot Search and Destroy and AVG.

It might have something to do with your connection settings in Internet Explorer. Go into Internet Explorer and choose:
>Tools >Internet Options >Connections
Choose "Never Dial a Connection" and click OK.

If it is spyware, like others seem to think, you could try Microsoft's Defender for free: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
