I would like step-by-step instructions, if possible. I want the method similar to what clothing stores use.

Ok, I know this one. On a table, smooth out your t-shirt, front side down. Take one sleeve and side and fold it in approximately 4 inches. smooth again, make sure the fold is nice and even. Take the other sleeve and side and fold it in 4 inches. Smooth. Now take the bottom and fold it up 1/3. fold the top down over the bottom 1/3... you have a nice, neatly folded t-shirt. voila!

Hey I've seen this a lot. Lay the shirt, front side down and what some stores like to do is get either some kind of piece of cardboard (or plastic) and put it on top of the back of the shirt. Then what you do is fold one sleeve over the plastic (or cardboard) piece then the other. Lastly, you fold the bottom of it up. After you're done with this you can slide out the plastic and go onto the next shirt. Good luck!

Lay the shirt back side up on a flat surface, like a bed. Fold one sleeve including a portion of the shirt from shoulder to bottom hem across the back, do the same with the other side. You can make it as narrow as you want. Then fold the bottom up. You end up with a nice square/rectangle. Works the same for all types of shirts. If you still don't get it, watch them fold them at a clothing store.

With enough practice, you can do it without laying the shirt on a flat surface.

Go to youtube.com and type "t-shirt folding" into the search field in the upper right. There are lots of t-shirt folding videos. I'm afraid some are in a foreign language, but you really don't have to understand what's being said. There are even videos (without any language in the audio) that show how to make your own t-shirt folder out of cardboard and tape.
