If this is a dating question and your early in the "game," I'd advise against movies period. They allow no social interaction, something I think is needed in the beginning of a relationship. Sorry if it's not, and I assumed it was.
I'd say Applebees or the Cheesecake Factory, however, alot of women are selfconcious about consuming certain foods in front of other people/men (I.E. Cheesecake Factory, I'm assuming cheesecake would be had, because it's amazing.) so I'd choose Applebees. It's a nice place with a higher class atmosphere than a fast food place.

Go to the restaurant that has the best atmosphere according to you. The place where you are comfortable so you don't have to be wondering if the food will be good or the service terrible. I would skip the movie as well. Come up with something no guy has thought of. Anyone can go to a movie, it's a no brainer. Go on a hike, or skating or something old fashioned fun. Then you can really see how great the girl is by how she is when she's out of her element. Another word to the wise...she will be nice to you, you're paying, she likes you, blah blah blah, watch how she treats the server, that is how she really is. Understand?

I'd have to pick Applebee's, cause it's the only one of those in my area. Other options if you have them are: TGI Friday's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster.
2 things you want to note: you don't want a place that plays loud background music (nothing worse then having to yell a conversation), and you want a place that has vegetarian food available (if you don't know her well, you don't know what she eats).
Movies are out, but a play would be okay. A walk, dancing, or some other activities where you can interact.
Believe it or not, but the 2nd date my husband took me on was to a pizza joint we both knew and a bar that I didn't. I wasn't to excited about the bar, but it turned out to be a very "unpopular" bar and we had most of it to ourselves. We were able to have a very good conversation there. I'm not a drinker, per se, but even one can help put a tense or nervous person at ease.

Take me to the Cheesecake Factory, a movie and or a nice stroll along the beach, river, a parkor any romantic relaxing place. then take me home. Before leaving, a gentle kiss, and ask me out on another date. Romance should be slow, sweet and if we are right for each other...Later down the road we can go from there.
Too bad this rarely happens any more.

For me, Cheesecake factory for informal casual dining. Apple bees for something a little heavier.

i would chose Applebees. I prefer that over round robin because I feel they have better food. I have heard of the others but have never been to them.

Which one has better food? I took girls to applebees when I was in college. Now, go for Wood Ranch.
Make it look nice and you may get another restaurant.

Applebees...because fast food and a movie is too cliche and the other restaurants arent in my area...Applebees advertisements are really persuasive too...

Age does not make the guy, character and adventure do. it is to assert, do no longer seem for human beings in keeping with age, seem for somebody that has comparable pursuits and tastes to you.
