Check on this website. http://www.shira.net/

You can look for performers and teachers on this page

I hope you find a teacher that you like. If one teacher's style doesn't suit your learning style, try another. I've known some dancers to take awhile finding a setting that worked for them. Good luck.

Very good question. I've been in Montreal for almost one year, and I had the same doubt.

Before arriving here, I used to dance in my country (Brazil) for three years. I found a lot of teachers in Montreal, but none of them was offering the quality that I was looking for.

Good luck.

There are bellydance classes in Westmount with DG Entertainment. Classes are starting January 29, 2007.
There is max. 12 persons in a class so you must register in advance or you may not be able to attend.

Try looking in the following bellydance directories:
http://www.middleeasterndance.net
http://www.shira.net (already mentioned)
http://www.bhuz.com (also has a form so you can ask for recommendations)
