A lot of schools block proxies, so you might have to get creative. Mostly what they do is block proxy *websites*. They might not be creative enough to block local proxies, so you can try running a TOR client on one of the computers. TOR is a proxy network that's easy to use. Instructions are on the site I provided--you have to configure your browser after installing it.
Also, the school might block outgoing connections on a lot of ports to stop you from leaving their network. This will stop TOR from working, but you need not lose all hope. Schools can't block ALL ports. It would make the network completely unusable. That means that some are open. I'll give you an example:
At my school, they block IRC connections from leaving the school. I have a computer at home running an SSH server (for remote login), and all I have to do is log into my home computer and then load IRC from there.
If you can get a remote login to your home machine, then from there you can do ANYTHING you want--the school no longer has the ability to stop you.
So, if TOR doesn't work, try getting it to operate on different ports. You can try to find open ports by using a network mapping tool such as nmap. Just google it, but avoid malware.
PS Somebody mentioned that the school will monitor your activity. If you are using TOR, that is impossible because TOR takes special steps not to reveal what sites you are visiting or what their content is. If you end up using SSH, it will do the same.

The school computer is for doing your school work. Go to Myspace when you get home and stop wasting the taxpayers' money in trivialities like that. Grow up.

First of all, your school has a firewall for a reason. I suggest you not try anything cause they can monitor what you are doing and you will get into a lot of trouble if you mess with their server.

if you have a home computer you can use remote access software like pc anywhere, or even windows remote desktop to access your computer and go to myspace from your home system...it's really hard trying to get past web filters and firewalls....
