Webber recently agreed to a buyout with the 76ers. He has mentioned he wants to win and compete for a championship and has mentioned a few title contenders like Lakers, Spurs, Mavericks, Heat, and Pistons. I think with his skills he can thrive in P. Jackson's offense and well as the Pistons offense with moderate playing time. I know he wont go to Spurs or Mavericks which is heavily deep, and unless he wants to jump on the band-wagon and join former foe Shaq in Miami. I know he still wants money and Miami is the only one that can give him more than veteran minmum. Where do you think he will go???

Blah. Webber is old and a shell of what he used to be. Not only that, he's a locker room cancer. He'd be lucky to play backup Power Forward somewhere.

Wow! Just answered this question. My guess was the Lakers. Even without knowing or hearing what teams C-Webb was considering. Spurs, Mavs have a low post presence already. Pistons and Miami have the same thing. Now, the Lakers could use some more veteran leadership. C-Webbs lowpost skills would fit right in with the Triangle Offense. Last year when C-Webb played 75 games he avg. 20 and 10. Not bad for someone in his position.

He just completed the buyout and now has $40+ million. If he is serious about playing with a contender then he would be wise to accept the mid-level exception of a million or so. Karl Malone did and he and the Lakers made it to the NBA Finals.

I saw this on ESP just last night, it says that the team he's most likely interested in are Dallas, Miami, Detroit, Golden State or San Antonio. I guess you could erase Miami or San Antonio from that list. Miami probably doesn't need another veteran on the team, they've got plenty. And Haslem pretty much does everything Webber does, except better defense. San Antonio says they are not interested in Webber. This gives us three teams.

I think Dallas will be the fit for Webber. Currently they have no good power forward who can be back-up for Dirk so Webber might fill the spot. Detroit seems to be doing fine along, and the Warriors seem to dont need Webber because of their running game. So I say Webber will most likely go to Dallas, since he also expressed that he wants to go to a championship team.

I want to see him go to the Lakers just to watch him play at Arco Arena against the Kings and see how the fans react. Plus he would be good in that triangle offense. But like you said about the Spurs and Mavs, Lakers are a pretty deep team too. Cook, Odom, Radman, Turiaf, even Luke can play power forward which is the only position Webber can play at.

I say Detroit.
