No. Vampires are a cursed mortal whose spirit is kept in the body after death. None trully exist on Earth anymore, but there still are some in other places. If a vampire drinks blood, be it tainted or not, nothing will happen to them. Biologically speaking vampires do not trully exist, so a disease cannot exist with them. Hiv and vampires are in two different realities, one astrally and one physically (The vampries being, of course, astrally, and the hiv being physically). So therefore they wouldn't meet on the same terms. (Btw vampires have no alergy to garlic or holy things. That is a myth based on common misconception. The garlic was a wive's tale and the holy things were a lie told by the church to encourage people to feel safer at church and therefore go more often.)

Well, vampires are set out to seem like they are immortal. They shouldn't be able to contract HIV/AID if they have no blood to begin with. Sucking someone who has that disease wouldn't affect the vampire.

Most likely not. Especially since Vampires are pretty much dead anyway. Now I do know that in some modern vampire lore (mostly from the pen and paper rpg Vampire the Masquerade) that it will make them sick if they drink from people that are drunk or have diseases that are carried with in the blood stream.

The vampire's body purifies everything that comes into it's body. It does not matter whose blood he took, nor what was contained in the blood. His body, like alcohol, purifies it. No, he will not get HIV or AIDS. The fact that he is dead has nothing to do with this - it is how his body has changed to process it's nutrients.

I don't about vampire bats and their immune system.
As far as human vampires works of fiction can do whatever the writer wants.

Unlikely....vampires are technically already dead. Besides, I don't think HIV can survive in the stomach. The stomach acids would destroy it.

They might be a carrier of it, but Vampires have to be stabbed in the heart or go out in sunlight to die, right?

No, a vampire wouldn't suck the blood of someone who is sick. He would somehow sense it.

1. vampires have super human healing abilities
2. vampires are usually immune to human ailments. their only allergies (and these are serious ones) are sun, garlic, silver and holy water. (and apparently only holy water blessed by catholics, i don't know that the priests do to active the allergies, and I'm sure they won't be releasing the secret. economics)
