I wish we could give you a straight answer, but there is insufficient evidence either way to say. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I have gay friends who say they were born that way and others who believe it was just their choice.
I have no doubt there are somethings people are born with that would put them in the stereotypical mold of a gay person, but what really is "gay"? If you have only certain characteristics are you gay, or must you have all of a required list, or just be attracted to the same sex?
Hopefully some day we will know better, as I'm sure the gay community will earn much more respect. Until then, all people should be treated with the same level of respect, regardless.

I personally think it is something a person is born with. Think back to when you were a kid in school and I bet if you do some research you will find out that the kids that were effeminate probably turned out to be gay as adults. I had a disagreement with a girlfriend over this and she always said it is because boys get molested when they are young. I am almost sure people are born this way but it is my opinion. Nothing to really back it up.

I actually believe that my homosexual behavior is a result of having a higher intellectual capacity. I am not saying that all brainy people are gay or vice versa, but I know a multitude of gay people and they seem to be very smart and creative. I think homosexuality is also born into everyone as all people are born with sin (you don't have to agree with that), but it is also a product of the sex appeal now associated with homosexuality in our society today.

I don't ever remember feeling any different, I like both men & women. I am assuming I was born this way because I have no memeories of making a choice. I just am what I am.

I don't think people are born that way, that is like saying I was born to answer questions on Yahoo answers, I think it is 100 percent choice. It is so mainstream now that everyone thinks they are gay or bisexual.

i believe this, i beieve the majority of gay peple are born that way, i also believe that some become gay because they were rape as a young chid,and i also believe that some had bad experience with the opposite sex and decide to go to the same sex

Ok very good question. Society today would of course say that you were born gay... i disagree with this. I used to be gay, but through Jesus i was delievered from same sex attraction and am now straight.
I know i wasnt born gay. I beleive everyone has a root cause(s) growing up that formed them into who they are. My root cause was when i was in elementary school everyone used to tease me and i was SHY and had like no friends in school. All i wanted to do was have a really tight guy buddy but i never had one, and it developed on from there especially when puberty hit, but i had always admired guys because i wanted to be like them cause i was insecure from all the teasing.
So my pastor and i prayed and i was delivered from all my past memories that were hurting me and miraculusly now im not shy anymore! praise Jesus!!!!
I beleive there are lots of root causes such has molestation, abuse, bad or missing fathers, divorce, overprotective mothers...
so tahts the best i can help you with as someone who has been there and done that :) God bless you,
