I'd talk to him about it.

I've been in business for many years and this sort of thing happens all the time.

I've lost count of the number of ideas/projects/discussion papers I've produced that have ended up with my boss's name attached to them.

I've always just accepted it as sh*t that happens.

But if you've got a better offer you could quit. Though your next boss might quite likely do the same thing!

It depends on how much you want your current job and whether it is worth the confrontation with your boss. Without knowing anything about your boss it's hard to judge but, if it were me, for my own integrity, I would want to tackle him/her.

Plan for how you will do it:
- prepare what you will say in advance
- keep it assertive, not aggressive or passive
- state what he/she did and explain how you feel about it
- ask him/her how they would feel if you did it to them
- ask for an explanation
- ask for a pledge that they will not do it again
- after the conversation, make a written record of it, word for word preferrably

Consider going over their heads and taking out a grievance (if that's part of the company's personnel procedures).

Look around for another job but don't quit just yet until you have given it a go - might do wonders for your confidence and self esteem to tackle this - successful conflict management and standing up for your rights is very uplifting!

Whatever you decide - good luck - injustice is intolerable.

First you need to talk to your boss, If that does not help go above him. If that didn't work and it is bugging you enough to quit then quit.

You can start looking for a new job now, who knows you may find something better and end up quitting anyway.

Kelly, do you surely have heath coverage? Or are you purely repeating the Keith Olbermann speaking factors? I surely have on no account been refused something with tips from my coverage business corporation. ONE time they did no longer opt to cover an exceedingly high priced anti fungal medicine my healthcare expert prescribed for fingernail fungus. My healthcare expert already knew that they could no longer opt to. He had a pattern of fingernail sent to a lab earlier than time, and then an hassle-free telephone call became a 4 hundred dollar bottle of pills into seventy 5 money. i ought to have given up, and then i ought to whine such as you do! yet we could say you're precise, and you have confidence the government to no longer make judgements based on the value of a drugs or technique? because of the fact Obama says he won't? OBAMA has no longer written ANY of the plans being kicked around the floor! did you realize that congress does not think of that's a competent thought to open up opposition between coverage companies for the era of state traces? NO they think of rather that the government ought to enter the scientific coverage business corporation to "deliver opposition to the marketplace" do no longer MESS WITH MY well-being PLAN!

Whatever you do, don't just quit. Go out looking for other jobs first. Talk to your boss. See what is going on. Maybe you'll find better work, but always have another job before quiting.

You Better Stand up for yourself plain an simple. Ask him where your referrals are because you need to finish them up then go from his response, He has someone who signs his checks also. If he is the top dog call the referrals befor you quit and tell them what kind of businessman they are dealing with.

Ask him whay he has done that and give him chance to explain. However, when asking him keep the office door open and make sure that there is a third person in earshot.

fight over customers in the corridors - have a tug of war! bid each other down, play roulette for them.

As a customer of some bank somewhere this would make me feel valued and would be more likely to come back.

this depends upon the state in which u reside.....for exampe....in Illinois....no they cannot do this and u must report him....

However,,,,in the state of Texas your employer can pretty much do anything they want and if u don't like it quit or they can terminte u for no reason whatsoever....

go to www.dol.gov to search your state and find out about the laws in your area.
