don't recall the names (Pelosi??) but i will concede the fact that there were democrats calling for a troop increase.
looks like we've got 2 sides on the same coin.

Lieberman doesn't count as a dem.

I think the overall general thinking, whether one is republican, democrat, or independent, is that it is simply too late. This would have been a great plan several years ago. It's like someone deciding to finally quit smoking after they've been diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer.

Not me. But I remember a republican a couple years ago suggest the insurgency was in its last throws and then a year later say he still felt it was true and then a couple of week ago admitted he might have been "a little over-optimistic".

Anyone know who that republican is?

Hint: It's Dick Cheney.

Some democrats were for troop increases before they were against it before they were for it. Any more questions?

Pelosi was calling for an increase two years ago but she flop flipped. I believe that Lieberman is in favor.

Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin and a whole slew of others the point is they were never serious it was simply being against anything that Bush suggested, it's that simple.

Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton.. a few of them have suggested as such. Democrats are free to think for themselves. They aren't as partisan as Republicans.

All I'm going to say is if this surge in troops does nothing to help... then what? Keep sending American men and women to their deaths?

When is one dead soldier too many going to be reached? 4,000?, 10,000? 100,000?

Hillary Clinton for one.
First the dems say "not enough troops', then it's too many troops.
They can't do anything without reading the dailey polls.
They are utterly confused.
