Chav is a derogatory slang term in popular usage throughout the UK. It refers to a subculture stereotype of a person who is uneducated, uncultured and prone to antisocial or immoral behaviour. The label is typically, though not exclusively, applied to teenagers and young adults of white working-class or lower-middle class origin. Chav is used for both sexes, where a male chav is sometimes referred to as a chavster and a female as a chavette.

fox-hunting is illegal in the uk now! so it got me thinking ,why not start chav-hunting it will give the upper classes something to do on a weekend and it will keep the chav population under control at the same time?everyone's a winner then,apart from the chav,but it will be fast and humane-ish,so no real problems/issues on that front.

Sounds about right to me. I would add the baseball cap, shell suit (tucked into socks of course), gold jewellery and Burberry to create the perfect picture.
(Also, the Scottish equivalent is 'Ned' - we had them long before Chavs!)
