I would suggest an age for a wife for you would be in the 30-36 year range. Of course it all depends on your wants in the future, namely children, but fortunately you are still young and many options are left open to you by selecting a partner who could possibly fullfill your future desires in the case of producing a child.

Honestly, it shouldn't matter, if you have a good time with the gal. You should look for a good physical and mental attraction, instead of the right age group.
But, I guess age does matter in a way - it would be weird for me, even 20-30 years from now, to date a guy who was in elementary school when I was graduating college. So, I guess 35-45 would be what I'd expect for you, so you've shared similar life experiences at similar times.

You would do well to look for someone your own age or maybe a bit older. You might find it difficult to deal with a woman more than two years younger than yourself, because at your age you are probably pretty well set in your ways, and the more mature woman is better able to accomodate that than a younger one.

there is no best age. it all depends on what you are looking for in a woman and who you are compatible with. I would definetly stay away from girls in their early 20's as they still might be into the bar scene, which means you will be too.
I'm almost 40 and my gf is 27. people say I look closer to 30 than 40. between that and me being very active I prefer to date women thatt are more physically fit, active and younger than myself.
