They are so blinded by their media-driven hatred for Bush that they want to see him fail regardless of the outcome.

(Why did you define neo-lib for them?)

Most don't honestly think they do want failure. They have been doped into thinking that the war is unwinnable by a media who has a adversarial relationship with Bush. If you are referring to the politicians, true. Many (Murtha, Durbin, et. al.) have been opportunistic to jump on the propaganda provided by the media b/c it gives them personal gain. Notice that those that already have a name stay kind of quiet (Hillary, Ted et. al.) This is to their personal advantage.

So the problem is three-fold: The media is no longer performing their function the way they should, and politicians have lost their sense of civic service and are too wrapped up in personal gain rather than what's good for the country, and then yes, some people hate Bush soooooo much that they can't judge public policy objectively. So when mistakes are made, it seems like it is welcome news to each of those factors.

Yes.. December 17,2006 several big players in the Democratic Party (including Pelosi) wanted more troops.. Because the President is for troop increase they are now against it.. The Democrats are doing nothing more than basing their opinions and political agenda on polling numbers. If Lincoln and Roosevelt had done the same the US would be either several different countries or speaking Russian and German. The Polling Party will be the polar opposite of anything the GOP suggest regardless of what is at stake.. This is Political , nothing more. Have we heard one plan from the polling party as to our role in Iraq if we pull out ?? Haven't heard it.Does the polling party honestly believe this country is under no threat from the Islamic ji had. So we are to ignore what the ji hadist leaders are threatening.. Have they forgot 9/11 happened, and no it wasn't Bush..

Hey! "Neolib" was my invention! Not as intelligent as "new socialists," just to insult them right back. I'm so proud, snif!

They want our country to fail in Iraq because they despise Bush for winning twice sooo much, that they want anything he's touched to fail so they can feel some vindication for Gore and Kerry having lost, as if anyone would have beaten either one of them.

Yes, there hate knows no bounds, they are so desperate for power they would do destroy this country to have it, I hope this congress proves to the U.S. that the Democratic party needs to change before it can be trusted with power, it needs to move away from the Radical left, and stop taking orders from such men as Micheal Moore.

Why do republicans fail when they know how much pleasure the liberals/demos etc get from it. Is that not enough reason to win or perhaps not go there in the first place.

They don't. Anyone who thinks about it rationally for 10 seconds realizes that the fastest way to get the troops home is for Iraq to become stable.

How many times are you empty-headed war mongers going to ask the same silly question? The war is already lost. However, if you want to look at the glass as being half-full, consider this. In theory, we invaded Iraq to accomplish two goals: 1> to uncover WMD, 2> to remove Saddam from power. We confirmed that Iraq did not have an arsenal of weapons and Saddam can now be referred to in the past tense. Mission Accomplished. Now it's time to get the hell out.

BECAUSE THEIR BOY IS NOT IN THE WHITE HOUSE. ANY SUCCESS BY BUSH WOULD HURT THEIR CHANCES IN '08. SO JESUS CHRIST COULD COME DOWN AND END THE FIGHTING AND KILLING AND THEY STILL WOULDN'T BE SATISFIED. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN DOGMA TAKES OVER YOUR BRAIN AND DISTORTS ANY CHANCE OF CLEAR AND OBJECTIVE THINKING. THE DEMS DIDN'T HAVE A PLAN BEFORE THE ELECTIONS AND THEY STILL DON'T HAVE ONE. JUST SHOOTING DOWN NEW IDEAS WITH NOTHING TO CONTRIBUTE IS THEIR STRATEGY AND HAS BEEN SINCE DAY ONE. THATS WHY THEIR REPUTATION IS THE "CUT AND RUN" PARTY. HAS BEEN SINCE NAM. THAT WAY, THEY DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING BUT *****. HIND SIGHT IS ALWAYS 20/20 AND THEY PLAY IT TO THE HILT.

Well, you failed in Iraq. It doesn't matter if democrats want it or not, it is a fact. So they can criticize it and remember you what went wrong and what it should be done.
