Even a bad year for him is still a good year. What do you consider a good year? I would say he'll hit 40 dongs minimum, 120 rbi minimum, score 100 runs, etc. that sounds pretty good to me.

As long as Jeter is a Yankee Alex will always be overshadowed. A-Rod may be the best player ever when it is all over but will be known as not being clutch because Jeter was so clutch. Put A-Rod on the Padres and he is the league MVP.

When you have been as good and as consistent as A-Rod has been during the regular season fans tend to look for at least the same in the post season. No one is asking him to be great or clutch, but they are expecting him to do well.

Depends on your standards. Compared to 99% of the league then yes he will have a great season. Unfortunatly he plays for the yankees and he has been a let down to eyes of the casual fan which is 80% of baseball fans as ESPN did research on that. However unless he has clutch performances that make david ortiz look like a smuck he will be a let down in the eyes of the yankees even if his stats read .325 avg, 30 hr and 100 RBI with a gold glove and MVP and unless he performs well in post season he'll be gone by 08 season

A-Rod is as consistent as they come in the regular season. He just needs to relax more in the post season and let the game come to him. He tries to hard and fails in the process. It's a mental thing that he needs to adjust.

He will have a good season. But that needs to start carrying over into the post season.

If he hasn't changed by now, he never will. ARod will always be a "regular season" player - putting up incredible numbers, but doing nothing in the playoffs. Yankees have players like Derek Jeter and Hideki Matsui to be clutch. If anything ARod is only useful as a fielder and a feared presence in the lineup that may encourage walks...but then again, other teams know he's not clutch so they'll just pitch at him in the playoffs.

A-rod will have another great season. He is one of the best hitters in baseball and if the yankee fans don't want him we would love to have him in Boston. Perhaps he tries too hard when the game is on the line. You might notice that a large percentage of his errors come when he is playing against Boston, that is too say when he is putting a lot of pressure on himself to please his fans by performing well against their rivals. I think it is foolish to worry about a-rod. The big problem that the yankees have been facing in previous years has not been the bat, it has been their lack of effective pitching.

The guy has always been an excellent all around player. Everybody realizes that except maybe the yankee fans, who generally think just because you're in a yankee uniform you're supposed to act like a god all the time.
