only occasionally moving and sometimes going up to the top for air. The rest of the fish are fine and I have checked the water quality. Is there anything else I can do?

You can try doing a large, 40% water change and adding some aquarium salt (1 flat tbsp per 5 gallons, disolved first in dechlor water). This sometimes helps, but sometimes doesn't. If the other fish are fine, he may just be sick, and there may not be anything you can do.

I hope he makes it!

I'm not sure if this is of any help or not but when Goldfish keel over and lie on their side, removing them to another tank and putting them in water with a teaspoon full of salt picks them up.

Whether it works on Gourami's or not is another matter but if it's on its way out then you have nothing to lose by trying.

Your fish may be sick. You can try getting some general fish medicines but if your other fish are fine, it may not help.

Your fish may possibly be bored. Maybe add a new plant or a new small aquarium decor if you have space.
