Single Subject Credential English?

Question

If anyone is currently working with a single subject credential in English or knows of someone who is please let me how successful you've been in securing employment and what a typical day is like (ie.) burnout, student cooperation, etc.

I have English and Spanish, but I have two friends who are both single credential English. Although it is much more difficult to find a job in English because we stay till we die/retire, both have jobs and only one had to search outside of a 50 mile radius. However, it does help to add other areas.
