Beginning the pill at the last day of period is generally okay especially if it was Sunday. Pills offer 2 different days to begin them. If you choose the Sunday start, it should be the first Sunday of the period. The other start is on the first day of the period. You may not be protected from pregnancy since she started taking it on the last day, so make sure you use a back up method. She may also experience more spotting or bleeding during the next month.

I think it does make a difference. While on your period you usually are taking sugar pills. However, some women start a new pack of active pills on the first day of their period trying to avoid getting their period. Maybe she is trying to stop her period or skip it? If not, her doctor could have recommended she start that day but I've never heard of it in my 12 years of using BCP.

If she keeps up with the way she is doing it she should be fine. They just say to wait for your period so that they know you don't miss one because that could mean she is pregnant. So if she had her period and she keeps takeing the pill like she has been I don't think it will make a difference.

It depends on what kind of birth control she's on. Usually with the pill, you start taking them the first Sunday after your period. I don't think you're supposed to take them while you're on your period.
