and we have noticed that when we take the foot off the brake pedal the car does not''pull'' forward, as do all other automatics, infact we have to press quite hard on the gas pedal for the car to begin moving,...once the car is driving though there seems to be no problems with the changing of gears,..only when pulling off from a stopped position.
does anyone know what may seem to be the problem, or can offer any advice ?
thanks

when you apply the brakes pedal.......
many thing happens.......
the brake pedal is in close communication with the transmission.
through the Electronic Control Unit( alias, the computer and/or the E.C.U.)
the computer disconnect the gears while the brakes is applied.
and engage it when the brakes pedal is released.
And yes, it may be adjusted by the technician.
But, I will prefer to leave it the way it is

P.S. change the fluid and the filter regulary.

FIAT stands for "Fix It Again Tony" - I had one years ago that was a real lemon - never again! But if that's the only problem you're having with yours, consider yourself lucky!
