Infants. They are ignorant of everything and they are the most blissful people on earth. When their ignorance ends, so does their bliss.

I was taking a Western Civ. university class as a freshman and, after our test papers were graded, the professor walked in with our exams, tossed them onto his desk, and said: "If ignorance is bliss, you people must be the happiest people in the world!"
Perhaps ignorance is bliss when a person does not know about something that would hurt him if he did, but, which he could not do anything about if he had that knowledge.

diamonds are beautiful and precious, but if you had to learn what it took to mine them and how people are treated and how many people die from working in the mines, you might not want them quite so much.
Your hamburger tastses great, right? How about looking into the eyes of the cow that is getting it's throat slit and then gets gutted before it's even dead then becomes your hamburger.
