That is an old wives tale. Flipping the baby so they will sleep does not work. My mother in law tried it and it did not work. Your baby will sleep all night when he/she is ready. My little one took almost 6 months before he would sleep all night, and it was still sporadic till he was about 1. Just make sure he gets a nap during the day as he gets older. If they get to tired they don't sleep well, they are real restless during the night and wake up alot. My son is now 2 1/2 and he still wakes up at night if I don't make sure he gets a nap during the day for at least an hour better if its two. When they are sick though they will not sleep well either. Just remember they are used to a different environment and it takes a while to get used to a new one.

Flipping the baby? Interesting that people still think this is a viable solution for your baby sleeping problems. It's an old wives tale that states that if you physically "flip" your baby over it'll make her sleep during the nights again and stay awake during the day. Don't do this... it's dangerous to your kid and doesn't work. Think about it logically. Try training your little one by playing with her during the day and settling her in the evening before putting her down to rest.

Hmmm...I would try to keep him on his side. Do you have one of those triangle holders you put in the crib to keep the baby in a certain position? Maybe you should get one. All babies get on those crazy sleeping schedules...I would try keeping him up durning the day the best you can so he will sleep at night. He will eventually get it right! ;)

Hmmm...I never heard of that. How old is your baby? You could try to keep him up more during the day. It sounds like his schedule is off. Hope this helps!

define flipping him onto the belly, your baby will do that on his own because you dont want him to suffocate. also depends on how old your child is. mine is 6 months and still has troubles

Haven't you heard the back to sleep, belly to play. If a baby sleeps on their belly they could suffocate or die from SIDS.
