Well i agree with the majority of the previous answers.

No, Romo was not the reason Vanderjet started missing field goals.

Why did Vanderjet start doing badly? Well honestly I have no clue. Despite when he was asked to make a last minute field goal he was an excellent kicker even for the Colts in his last year. He was the NFL's most accurate NFL kicker EVER! So I wonder what happened...

Also, If Romo was at fault, he would have been quickly removed. Vanderjet would have spoke up and the coaches would have watched the tape and Romo would no longer be the holder.

Plus, the now infamous fumble was not because he was going to hold it wrong, just a simple mistake. A mental error. A brain fart in the connection to his hands...who knows but it did cost them the game. Curious to see what moves the Cowboys will make in regards to Owens and Parcells. I think if they act wisely the Cowboys have the potential of being One of the top seeds in the NFC next year!

No, Mike "Idiot Kicker" Vanderjagt just had no clutch in his leg. I do think that Tony "Lucy" Romo tried to do too much on the last play... What happened was those slippery K Balls, well he caught it, saw a pass rush so tried to spin the laces away from Gramatica's foot to make it easier to kick, but the problem was he did this WHILE he was putting it down, and it was so slick he just dropped it. He's lucky that when he ran towards the endzone he didn't fumble and have it returned for a TD by Seahawks.

No. Problem with the fumble was he tried to place the ball too quickly. Watch it in slow-motion and see his left hand move off of the ball early and the ball fall. Kid just got a bit excited.

Vanderjagt's problems were all his own.

vanderjact was the best kicker all time but he started to decline in his accuracy but still had the power. he was choking to much for bill parcels and the cowboys. tony romo isnt the reason and if you think that then why is gramitica making his field goals?

Absolutly not. Because a kicker would only have to tell his coach once, "I want someone else to hold the ball." Most coaches, especially NFL coaches, would have noticed on their own anyway and corrected the problem immediatly. I like your brainstorm though after that botched hold.

He wasn't holding the ball wrong. He's been the holder for the last two years and never messed up, in a game or practice. Bad timing, yes, but his ONLY mishap in two years? That's pretty damn good.

No, Vanderjagt is just a huge head case. That's why the Colts didn't want him. He blew it against the Steelers and he won't recover.

i don't want to speculate this is our QB for the future but i would advise bill parcells or who ever gets to be the head coach to put Matt McBride
