How about when he placed his left hand on the bible, raised his right hand, and uttered that long phrase which started with " I, George W. Bush,..............
And when he says Nook-you -ler instead of nu-clee-er.
But isn't it nice to live in a country where we can laugh at and criticize our leaders openly and get away with it--never take that for granted!

When he first came on the scene as President, one of our best known Canadian comedians (Rick Mercer) managed to squeeze into the press line up to ask a candid question to George, live on film, to be viewed later on Rick's show segment called "Talking to American's". Americans can't watch this show because they wouldn't find it funny [it's hilarious to Canadians because it makes fun of Americans and the subjects aren't even aware that they are being made a laughing stock through their own ignorance of real world events]. Our Canadian Prime Minister at the time was Jean Chretien, which most Americans would have trouble properly pronouncing, so Rick bastardized the name even more to set George up. In his 10 second interview, Rick asked.."Mr. President, are you looking forward to working with our Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. Jean Poutine?" [pronounced Poo-teen].. "Why yes" George responded..."I am sure Mr. Poutine and I myself have many good issues to discuss".
Little did George realize, after pretending he knew who the Prime Minister of Canada was, that poutine is a native fast-food heart-stopping favourite for French Quebecers, that is comprised of delicious french fries drowned in heavy gravy with melted curd cheese on top.

There probably have been many attempts. We just have not heard about them as they are well hidden in Laura's bush.
