Yes. When I quit smoking "cold turkey" once, for weeks I was actually preaching how disgusting and bad smoking was. I was preaching it to strangers at nightclubs and anyone who asked me for a smoke. I could hear myself doing it but I couldn't stop. I just felt so good about it.

Cut to me: 3 months later smoking again.

Yeah when I was trying to cheer up a friend they told me to shut up and let them have some miserable time to get over it. Now I'm aware when I come across like a silly cliche.
