Most companies don't charge for a job description. Usually when there is a job/position opening in a company, they post it online on the company web site. Most major corporations also have internal recruiters who visit the job boards such as career buuilder.com, hotjobs.com and look for candidates that have the qualifictaions for the job opening. These are the usual means of looking for a job description. Most candidates look for job descriptions by first shortlisting the companies that they are interested in, then visit theur web site and searching under" Careers" where the listings are posted. Alternatively, one can also get the contact info from the company web site and call them to know of the openings and descriptions.

All in all, these days, all companies have postings on their web site and it is the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to get to any openings and thus descriptions for a psoition in a company.
