She( i take it you are a male) must have proved other wise, to what you have said above for you not to be able to visit (i take it , to have contact)with your son, your ex.. would have had to produce really good reason to prove that it would harm your son (mentally) and/or physically.. so i can't see that there is anything that you can do.

Turn to the court and request your right to see your child. If it's not granted simply on the basis of you living abroad, you can go to the court in Strasbourg.

get in touch with a UK solicitor and tell them you want to apply for reasonable access to see your son, it should be granted but you will only be able to see your son in the UK as you would need the mothers permission to take him out of the country...goodluck
