4 years of college and 3 years of medical school and then you have to do an internship and a residency...about 3 years. All tolled, 10 years beyond HS

They are doctors. You have to to go to med school, do your residency, same as any other doctor. Maybe 8-10 years

about 10 years of school or longer depending on your internship
